I love the feet that fill these slippers. Whenever I meet a new midwife at antenatal appointments they say so this is your first pregnancy, I then correct them and say actually it’s my fourth! Cue shocked faces and a quick flick through my notes. You look so young they say! 🙌🏾😉( thank you Jesus 🙏🏾- thank you makeup 💄) Then it’s time for listening to the heartbeat and checking bump size and baby’s position as they prod they see a scar low under my huge bump. Oh I thought you had all natural births they say confused. Oh I reply that’s from my myomectomy I had in 2005. I then explain my history of cysts, fibroids, adhesions, twisted Fallopian tubes and severe endometriosis and how a scheduled keyhole surgery turned into hours of full open surgery.
Soon four pairs of slippers shall adorn the hallway, including wellies, trainers, ballet shoes, winter boots and party shoes! The clutter is one aspect of a mind blowing journey I never predicted. Thank you Lord for turning the doctors no into a yes! I’m forever grateful….V 😘
